Bobcat Safe Rides - Work Study
Job description
Bobcat Safe Rides are an important part of the University Police Department. The program provides safety rides both on and off campus for our Bobcats on the TXST main campus.
Safe ride employees will be trained by UPD to ensure the safety and security of the individual. Safe ride employees must provide excellent customer service and be willing to wear issued items and protective equipment while performing safety escorts. All Safe ride employees are required to: Drive golf carts and/or vehicles to various places on and off campus including buildings, parking garages, parking lots, and dorms; maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, enter data of daily activities, follow all traffic laws, maintain proper phone, and radio etiquette, perform security checks of buildings and report any suspicious activity to UPD Dispatch.
All employees must possess a current and valid Driver's License.
Program hours are as follows:
- Monday 8p-2a
- Tuesday 8p-2a
- Wednesday 8p-2a
- Thursday 8p-3a
- Friday 8p-3a
- Saturday 8p-3a
- Sunday 8p-12a

Payrate Determination
All students' pay rate is $12.75 an hour for this position.
