Work Study - Benefits Office Assistant (Fall 2025)
Applicants must have work study for Fall 2025.
Expected hours: 8-10 hours per week, depending on student's schedule. Office open M-F, 8 am - 5 pm.
Join a dynamic team to help support the Human Resources Benefits office. All Majors encouraged to apply!
- Office functions: answering phones, monitoring e-mails, filing, alphabetizing, copying, scanning documents into online employee files, and mail sorting.
- Front desk customer service interaction: welcoming customers, answering basic questions, and informing staff of customers needing assistance.
- Microsoft Office skills helpful (MS Word, MS Excel)
- Other projects as assigned
- Signed confidentiality agreement required
- Staff members will provide training
Employee Evaluation Process:
- Student worker will be evaluated at the end of each long semester (Fall/Spring) by supervisor to identify areas of excellence and improvement.
Pay Rate & Schedule:
- Hourly rate to be determined, but between the range of $12-$15 per hour. All pay plan information for student employment at TXST can be found at: University Pay Plan
- Paid every two weeks for hours worked via time entry
