FALL 2025 | Athletic Events Assistant - Bobcat Club WORKSTUDY

Job Description: Texas State University, a NCAA Division I Institution, is seeking applications for the paid position(s) of Athletic Events Assistant(s) for the Texas State Bobcat Club.

Duties
-Assist with setup, planning, and breakdown of Bobcat Club special events

-Operate donor hospitality events at Football, Basketball, and other game day operations

-Support catering and concessions staff by helping run food and drinks to guests in premium hospitality areas during games

-Other duties as necessary

Specific Dates and Hours:
Must be able to work the event dates below. Exact times to be determined but will not exceed eight hours in one day. Additional hours will be available during basketball season and throughout the year.


- August 29-30 (Friday & Saturday)
- September 19-20 (Friday & Saturday)
- October 10-11 (Friday & Saturday)
- October 27-28 (Monday & Tuesday)
- November 21-22 (Friday & Saturday)
- November 28-29 (Friday & Saturday)

Required Qualifications:
-Skill in writing in order to layout event plans and communications
-Skill in interacting with members of the community, donors, alumni and building relationships with fans
-Ability to speak positively to all athletic constituents about Texas State and its Athletic programs
-Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer programs
-Ability to multitask and stay organized

Preferred Qualifications:
-Working towards bachelor’s degree-Interest in marketing, public relations, sales, event planning and sports-TABC seller-server certification or willingness to complete online certification course-Previous customer service or hospitality event experience within a restaurant, hotel, golf course, or similar

  • Payrate Determination - $7.25-$10 starting pay, and can improve depending on work experience &/or performance
