This opportunity allowed me to experience Champaign during the summer. I got to work in a laid-back team environment that allowed me to build strong relationships with my coworkers.
What I wish was different
The projects that we worked on at John Deere were more long term which meant that I would be spending numerous months on each project and if it was something that I did not immediately like there would not be anything I could do about it.
Advice
Go into any internship with an open mind and most importantly focus on building relationships and building your network because ultimately thats what will help you get your next internship and ultimately a job some day.

What I liked
I liked the commitment the company has in its interns. Many resources are allocated to further develop employees including interns. Aside from the great work experience, they put together many events for interns to do after work.

I wish I got to work with more interns throughout the whole summer.
Advice
Take advantage of as many classes through JDO as possible, never hurts to have knowledge on multiple different platforms across the company.
